At Joel Slaven’s Dog Lodge, our mission is to teach you and your dog to become partners. We believe that your dog and your family should be a team.
With over 50 years of training experience, we’ve created a specialized dog training program that builds on the basics of dog obedience training and makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience for both you and your dog.
Building the Basics
Our training method begins with a good foundation that is built upon trust and a desire to learn. This starts with private dog training lessons that are fun and engaging while teaching basic obedience commands. Through repetition of short and productive training sessions, your dog will gain the confidence and skills they need while enjoying every step of the process.
Taking the Time
We understand that dog training takes time. Every day we devote our time and attention to your dog to make their training experience comfortable, fun, and effective. Our dog obedience classes are tailored specifically with you and your dog in mind so that the pace and style of their training helps you to become partners. Step by step, one day at a time, your dog will learn, develop, and understand more of what it means to be a part of your team.
Enjoying the Experience
While at Joel Slaven’s Dog Lodge, your dog will be taught basic obedience on a loose leash. We will also expand their socialization training through car rides with our trainers and visiting public spaces so they are comfortable venturing out with you and your family. Your dog’s days at The Lodge will be filled with enriching activities that may include running, playing, hiking in the woods, and splashing through the creek and pond. We are committed to making sure that your dog enjoys every day of their training so they can grow into the fun, loving, and loyal companion we know they can be.
